About Trecker Fritz & Williams, Attorneys At Law
At Trecker Fritz & Williams, our lawyers have represented injured people and their families in Honolulu, throughout Hawaii, the United States and internationally for more than 40 years — since 1976. Until the mid-1990s the firm was known as McKenzie Trecker Fritz & Williams. Several of our past partners have gone on to become judges.
Who We Represent
We represent victims and their families who have been damaged by all types of accidents and negligence, including:
- Vehicular accidents involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles and pedestrians
- Aviation, including helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft accidents (Partner Allen Williams is an experienced pilot)
- Slip and falls and other injuries and deaths on residential and commercial property
- Medical and legal malpractice, including birth injuries and failures to diagnose. Medical negligence is the third leading cause of death in the US according to the Institute of Medicine. These cases are often very difficult and expensive to evaluate. Trecker Fritz & Williams often consults with a highly qualified, independent medical expert before becoming involved in a medical malpractice case.
Our attorneys have a commitment to service for every client we represent. Our firm has a track record of success, including a case against the state of Hawaii for almost $4 million on behalf of a young, catastrophically injured child who was under the state’s care. We recently were counsel in one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in Hawaii State Court, which was roughly $5 million. This case was significant for its clarification and expansion of the duty of the physicians’ duty of informed consent to the patient. Our lawyers have successfully obtained recoveries for our severely injured or damaged clients in excess of $10,000,000.
A Commitment To Military And Dependents
We have handled a number of the largest Hawaii recoveries against the United States government under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Mr. Trecker is a Marine Corps veteran and Mr. Fritz an Army veteran. We frequently represent service members injured in off-base and on-base automobile, motorcycle and other accidents.
If you are stationed or at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Fort Shafter, Wheeler Air Force Base, Schofield Barracks or Kaneohe Marine Corps Base or you have a family member who is serving our country in the Hawaiian Islands, we understand and honor your dedication and sacrifice. We have obtained some of the largest Hawaii recoveries against the U.S. government, including recoveries in excess of $3,000,000. Trecker Fritz & Williams has also handled cases relating to medical care furnished by the Veteran’s Administration.
